A windshield takes the hits from the road and lets most of the sun's energy into the cabin. ClearPlex NC handles both. The film is applied to the outside of the glass, where the rock chips happen, and its nano-ceramic layer rejects 90% of infrared energy before it reaches the interior.

It keeps the 4-mil PET construction and patented scratch-resistant coating ClearPlex is known for and adds a nano-ceramic layer that rejects 90% of infrared energy and 45% of total solar energy.
For dealers, that changes what a windshield protection install is worth. The same piece of film now answers two customer requests: keep the glass from chipping, and keep the cabin cooler.
