Affani has been Madico’s window film distributor in Turkey since 1998. Recently, Affani pursued a social responsibility campaign that focused on creating awareness of energy conservation and self-sustainability. As part of this initiative, Affani became a sponsor of KidZania, a children’s indoor theme park with locations in Mexico, Japan, Turkey, and soon to open in the USA (near Chicago). KidZania provides children and their parents a safe, unique, and very realistic educational environment that allows kids between the ages of four and twelve to do what comes naturally to them: role-playing by mimicking traditionally adult activities. As in the real world, children perform "jobs" and are either paid for their work (as a fireman, doctor, police officer, journalist, shopkeeper, etc.), pay to shop or pay to be entertained. The indoor theme park is a city built to scale for children, complete with buildings, paved streets, vehicles, a functioning economy, and recognizable destinations in the form of "establishments" sponsored and branded by leading multi-national and local brands. Affani has placed a work area in KidZania that focuses on window treatments including window film. Affani staff and installers volunteer to supervise the children as they install pre-cut film pieces of all different shapes and shades. The kids learn how to install, and how window film works to keeps sun out while reducing their carbon footprint. Madico Window Films has chosen to support the Affani and KidZania by donating scrap film inventory. For more information, visit the Kidzania website.
