Madico®, Inc. one of the world’s leading manufacturers of advanced laminates designed to increase human safety, security and manage energy, today announced that its St. Petersburg, FL based window film business and manufacturing facility has achieved global certification to the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Standard. Madico Window Films embarked on an ambitious plan to achieve ISO 9001 certification for its St Petersburg facility, in much less than the typical one-year timeframe, during January of this year. The audit was successfully passed on August 11, a mere eight months later. Madico, Inc. relocated its window film business to St. Petersburg, Fla., in late 2010 after the acquisition of Solamatrix, Inc. The ISO certification standard was implemented at the St. Petersburg operation as part of Madico's long-standing commitment to ensure consistent and exceptional quality across its operations. Madico first achieved ISO certification in 1999 at its corporate headquarters in Woburn, Mass. According to Bob Connelly, President and CEO of Madico, Inc., "ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is a fundamental process at Madico. It’s a true platform for ensuring quality and a foundation for continuous improvement. I’m very proud of our Woburn and St. Petersburg team for this achievement."
